What a day! Worked, went to perform in Pinchbottoms Burlesque for Kids(Not for Kids) then I performed at BadAss Burlesque and some lady interrupted my act! Well the theme was “Drama Queens” this month, but really these bachelorettes need to be stopped!!
I’m super excited about Monday’s Red Self Centered Leo Show it’s really going to be ridiculous! I’ve got some things up my sleeve!
Anyway here’s some shots from Pinchbottom backstage at the Collective Unconscious!
I walk in and everyone is wearing red Nasty Canasta said, “I was going to wear this black dress, but then I decided on this red one.”
Good choice Nasty! Here she is pictured with her hubby and co-producer/co mastermind Jonny Porkpie If you’ve never seen a Pinchbottom show, you are really missing out. They do come up with some BRILLIANT stuff . . .brilliant and sick and funny. I mean for Petes Sake, they did a burlesque show as a kids show and the main premise was figuring out the meaning of burlesque . . .for kids . . .not for kids!
Trixie Little was in town for the weekend, she’s a Baltimore performer and often performs with her hubby/dance partner Evil Hate Monkey this weekend she was flying solo . . .what a sweetheart!
Ahh, Miss Saturn, hilarious!! She did this act as Suzy Circles the Theater conflict resolution Therapist, really funny. Of course her POLYESTER jumpsuit had red stripes down the side!! That’s Anita Cookies butt and Naughtia Nice’s Head and of course Trixie Little in the background.
Well then I happened across someones red panties!
And I got to see Precious Little’s act as Super Mario!
Funny when I Googled Precious Little this is what came up. Speaking of a Burlesque name For Kids (Not for Kids) oh how our lives cross over!
Well speaking of crossing over. . . .I finished Pinchbottom and rode my bike to the Bowery Poetry Club
What a blast. I really always have WAY too good a time at Bad Ass Burlesque! Moonshine the bartender always gets me drunk off of ONE drink and it’s just a really insanely fun atmosphere. The other thing that I love about BadAss is, anything goes, and your performance is appreciated. Well I always have a good time . . but it wasn’t raining so Little Brooklyn was upset . . . But then she saw something that made her happy and she felt better, we hugged, it was fun!
Glenn Marla gave me this wonderful red and white striped polyester jump suit, it’s pretty much my favorite thing in the world! It has a ridiculous little hole and it’s perfect! Here I am with Tiger Flambé modeling the thing we call RED!
Well, I forgot my bike lock so I had to bring my bike inside every venue that I went to today. I made quite a commotion at the Odessa diner one of my favorite places to eat. It’s really the food of my people (well I was born and raised in Northern California, but all my great grandparents on both sides are all Jewish Russian/Polish) . . YUM! So I went with Sequinette, Tiger Flambe’ and Glenn Marla
So I finished my day off with some Borscht the food of my people, I just love the contrast of the red and white and blue! Yum! What a nice way to end my day!
