January 20, 2008
Hurrah, what a day, long and productive! I did sleep in until 1pm, but considering I went to bed at 5am, it was OK! I went to rehearse the Trapeeze Loft with Alyssa for a rehash of our(the Schlep Sisters) second act ever called “Venus”, we’re going to re-launch it at our Valentines day show on Valentines day!
I was very glad to have my camera back! Kalki was staying at Tanya’s and was on her way to the airport, Jenny was there to teach her hula hoop class, so I snapped a shot!

The loft itself is also very colorful! I found lots of rainbows!

On my way to the train I found a house with a rainbow door right next to a green building, hmm, looks like Brooklyn city planning is up on the year in rainbow project!

The sun was setting when I got home.

And that meant it was time to turn this fabric . . .

into a jumpsuit inspired by this . . .

I’d say it was record time, yep it took me three hours to finish the suit! And of course all the pictures I have of the outfit are upper body shots!

I did my make-up ran to the train, froze my ear off, yeah I know my hair looked messy, but it was due to the time I put into spraying it with hairspray and I didn’t want to cover it with a hat, no way!
Then I proceeded to take pictures, most of which can be found here, but I’ve included some of my favorites that I took as well as some from The Culture of me!
Deryck Todd is the producer of The Bowie Ball and these are shots from last year and this year, it was the one year anniversary!!

Here’s some pictures from The Culture of me! it’s me Amber Ray and Legs Malone

Here’s Muffinhead and Amber Ray did a fabulous installation, that I was honored to be a part of!

Deril looked feirce and uncomfortable at first but then he was freed!

Gazelle is my new favorite beauty!

Machine Dazzle won the costume contest, of course!

It was talking to La John Joseph about how once you take a photo or video of something it all of a sudden has more value than any other moment. It’s actually not true, I’ve had a lot of valuable moments that I would never photograph or video tape. I did enjoy his act, and I was video taping it for him. He was the Virgin Mary! Here we are having the conversation I just spoke of! We’re also going to bring you a fabulous show in May, we’ll keep it under wraps but below are some hints! Photo of me by Stacie Joy

A wonderfully inspiring day!
