GREEN FEBRUARY:Day 188 “Green Family”

February 3, 2008

Today I spent the day with my family from Mexico. They are related by my great uncle who lived in Mexico in the 1930’s. I haven’t seen them since 2002, and it was just LOVELY to see them. They are from the State of Veracruz, which is like California in that it has every kind of region you could want, mountains, rivers, oceans. And guess what? Veracruz is green, so green, just a lovely green everywhere! I took the J to the 6 train which is a green line! To meet them at their hotel which was conveniently located right next to Grand Central Station! With it’s lovely mint green walls!

Then we went to the Met and I saw the Egyptian wing, the modern art wing, some of the medieval wing(got lost on the way to the modern art wing!) and the Fashion section(my favorite!) That museum is such a wonderful source on inspiration and its great to visit it with my cousins because they really examine the art and enjoy it! Lovely and inspiring! We ate some delicious food!

And went for a walk to Times Square(well this is in front of the museum!)

Afterwards we went to see Mama Mia, which was fun. I did love the green jumpsuit that the main character Donna wears in the curtain call . . .gotta love those crystals!
