RAINBOW MARCH: DAY 216 “Rainbow Revisited!
March 1, 2008
Back to rainbow, feels comfortable, feels warm, and homey, nice to be able to wear something different! My co-worker Mary said,”You help mark the months passing!” I guess I do, you can always tell what month it is by the color or colors I’m wearing, maybe a calendar is in order? Would you buy a “Year in Rainbow Calendar?” Hmm? Ideas!
So today was a good day, I woke up early and cleaned house a little for my new roommate who moved in, first roommate that I ever had to interview, so it’s cool I liked what I heard( so did Christopher and Sharon) and she moved in!
I’m still so excited by the brief conversation with Genesis P-Orridge yesterday, who asked me about color and who makes the decision, who decided about the Chakra’s, who decides the “meaning” of a color, why is color so powerful, I’ve even found myself a little uncomfortable or dulled by people who don’t wear color. I often feel judgmental of people who don’t wear color, it’s not something that I’m proud of, but you see that’s my point of view, my personal journey, and if I said, “It means you are missing a lung if you wear black.” Then if everyone followed my word, well, New York City would be full of folks with one lung!
Kind of like how I spent my evening, trying to find a song I didn’t like, but a song that inspired a burlesque act none the less. I would come up with an idea, then begin to appreciate the song for it’s utter suckyness, then begin to kind of like it, hmm, a very good challenge. Come see what I do at the Least Favorite burlesque show at Sweet and Nasty on Sunday March 9th.
Green was such a short month! Though I must say it was nice to have been able to wear this skirt, missing was my green shirt that I wore under the purple, it just wasn’t showing, but I was wearing rainbow!
