RAINBOW MARCH: DAY 237 “My year in Rainbow”

March 22, 2008

So the predominant inspiration for the year in rainbow project was Morty Diamond. I was joking with him one day at work, I said “Hey Morty, I should do a Year in Rainbow, and wear rainbow every day!” He looked at me seriously and said, “Yes you should.” And so I did. Well Morty is off to California to get his Masters degree and write “the great American Tranny Novel” as he calls it! So he threw himself a little going away party along with messy performance art and a little dance from me!

We started by watching this fantastic short film that was Glenn Marla and Morty Diamond waxing poetic about being trans gender and what that meant to them. It was funny, and deep, and loving, and fantastic! Then we went on to performing. I started with a new number that I’ve been working on for a while to Astrud Gilberto singing “Look to the Rainbow” I start out in this fantastic white cape and reveal my rainbow fans and then reveal that I’m”sky clad” and have the colors of the chakra on the perspective body parts( as inspiration from Morty Diamond’s part in Annie Sprinkle’s Love Art Lab where they painted the color chakras on his body!) Jessie took this picture(she actually reads my blog!)

And then we danced and party, party, partied!

I came home, two drinks sure did me in, I decided to remove my stitches from my foot. Not a mistake, they were bugging me! And then I did a little photo shoot!
