YEAR IN DANCE DAY 29: GONE TO THE BEACH DAY #1

Spent the day at the beach in Cherry Grove today and it was MAGICAL, just really wonderful! We gave Scott Parent the camera, and he found some nice images, I didn’t edit it, but I will for the Year in Dance Finale(some time in September 2011.) Anyway here I am dancing with Tigger! and Steven, what fun!
Then these people at the beach got excited about us dancing and wanted to dance with us, I wasn’t sure if they wanted to be filmed naked, but then after we turned off the camera it became a sandy Russ Meyers fake girl fight and their friends were filming it!

I’ve gone to the beach with out my computer! I will have my camera, so check back here on Tuesday the 31st with beach side dancing!!

YEAR IN DANCE DAY 28: “SHINE YOUR FBOMB” or “Hump your dreams!”

Spent the day watching dance and dancing, good thing! I went to see SHINE: A Burlesque Musical brought to you by the sensational Wet Spots(Cass King and John Woods) The Choreography was fantastic, it was done by Inga Ingenue. It was really cool to see the Seattle choreographic style, it’s very specific to Seattle, well mainly it’s choreographed(as a play should be!) But since it’s a play about a Burlesque theater then it incorporates burlesque dancing with integrity(because it’s made by Burlesque performers!)

Then 10 hours later I found myself in the basement of The Delancey Lounge for FBOMB a monthly Heavy Metal Show with go-go girls and a tiny bit of Burlesque. The hostess was Stormy Leather and the other burlesque dancer was Lil Miss Lixx, who comes from a dancers background and I love watching her perform. This act in it’s experimental stage as Lixx is best known for her sweet upbeat acts, so this one is a little bit dark and a lot of sexy!

I enjoy that phase of experimentation and I still feel that I’m experimenting with my Moby Dick act, as it keeps going and going and I always find new nuances of the music. Plus tonight I didn’t have as much energy as is necessary for the act, but the LIGHTING ROCKED! Here’s Moby Dick for the fourth time this month!

YEAR IN DANCE DAY 27: The Beat Street to GAY!

The World Famous *BOB* produced A KICK ASS SHOW at Coney Island. The show was called Hip Hop Hurray: The Beat Street to GAY! It was Gay-mazing! I got a couple of videos from the show and went home, put on my gayest hip hop garb and danced to “I’m Beautiful” by Bette Midler!

Here’s Chris Rand!
